Galanthus ‘Wasp’ is quite a distinct and well-known snowdrop. Long, thin outers and a narrow inner with nice markings. Discovered by Veronica Cross in 1995 at Sutton Court in Herefordshire, the former garden of the Backhouse family, who raised a number of fine snowdrops there. This snowdrop is a hybrid with long thin leaves and looks very nice in a clump. It is very vigorous and will form a clump quicker than most snowdrops. It has a longer pedicel than normal and, as such, the flower moves very gracefully in the breeze. A very nice addition to your garden.
