Galanthus ‘Faringdon Double’ - The general consensus is that this is a hybrid plant –there’s certainly some G. elwesii in it if that is the case – see photo of the foliage above. A very nice and very early double snowdrop (normally flowers here in late December to early January). It doesn’t look like a double at first glance but, when you lift the flower, you see that it is. It has a very attractive inner apical marking in the form of a nice bold green blotch/inverted heart. A nice and vigorous garden plant – I have numerous clumps of it here – I like this plant a lot. Just plant it out in the garden and let it do it’s thing.
Many of my snowdrops are available in very small numbers. Sign up to hear about new plants, blog posts and events like Cheshire Snowdrop Day. No spam, ever, and you can unsubscribe any time.
