Galanthus ‘Dick’s Early Yellow’ - A brilliant early yellow hybrid snowdrop which was found in the garden at Glen Chantry by Dick Bathe. Dick helps Wol & Sue Staines in the garden and at sales, and it was decided that this one would be named for him.
I find this plant can start flowering just after Christmas and keeps going well into January. A lovely vibrant yellow – I find that, in some years, the inner can be more of a soft green colour than yellow –something that, to me, is extremely attractive. It’s also very vigorous. It forms offsets and clumps up quite quickly. Just another wonderful plant that should be in every collection.
Many of my snowdrops are available in very small numbers. Sign up to hear about new plants, blog posts and events like Cheshire Snowdrop Day. No spam, ever, and you can unsubscribe any time.
