It tends to have a texture to its outer segments. It is in bud at the moment, with the flowers just about to open.

The second and third photos in this listing are of the actual plant you are buying. It is a double-nosed bulb with two flower buds forming. It has been grown in a 9cm pot, as you can see from the photos. The plant will be knocked out of the pot very carefully and sent to you bare root, and any flowers that are currently open will be wrapped as carefully as possible so that you can enjoy them when they arrive.

All of the photos of the plant you are buying were taken on 4th November 2026. The sooner after that date you buy, the closer the plant will look to the photos. If a week or more goes by, any open flowers may have started to go over, so please bear that in mind.

Please note that the first and last photos were taken last year (November 2025). They show the same clone in flower, but not the exact plant you are buying.

Please read my latest blog post on Galanthus bursanus here....

https://www.wrjsnowdrops.co.uk/blogs/news/galanthus-bursanus

It gives my personal view on this wonderful species.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0970/0701/0118/files/PPBA-A-17-0395_bursanus_-_CR1_7411_Nov_2025.jpg?v=1793823449
