It is an excellent doer and has tall and very erect scapes. This makes it look brilliant in a clump – something that forms quite quickly. It has bold green markings to the apex of the outers and an inverted ‘U’ marking to the inners. The outer petals curve outwards slightly; something I find to be very attractive. ‘Turncoat’ is a seedling from Woodchippings, the garden of Richard Bashford and Valerie Bexley. They have a lovely crinkly, frilly texture to them. A beautiful snowdrop that should be in every collection. Nicely proportioned (although quite small for the plant size) flowers and looks fantastic in a clump.
