It has pointed outer tepals with a lovely green wash over the tips. It is a very small plant (maybe to 7 or 8 cm) and the bulbs are also small. It would be best in a pot or at the very front of the border; it does extremely well in the garden here. The spathe tends to split once in flower. A really great little snowdrop that will increase very well and provide you with endless joy.

I believe it was found by Phil Cornish at Wroxall in Warwickshire, and that it was originally called 'Stargazer' because some of the flowers pointed upwards. They didn't do it consistently, though, so it was renamed 'Elfin'. The split spathe is a Scharlockii-type feature, and the inners carry a neat, dark green heart-shaped mark.

Sources
Some of the background here comes from Freda Cox, A Gardener's Guide to Snowdrops.

Galanthus nivalis 'Ant' is a very pretty little 'Scharlockii' snowdrop with a distinct green wash to the tips of the outers. I don't know much about this plant or where it was found. I do find it great in the garden though, and very vigorous. It flowers here in around mid-February.

Galanthus nivalis 'Bishop's Mitre' was found by Matt Bishop in H.A.
